Further Details The
small market town of Wincanton was once a main coaching stop on the
route from London to Plymouth, being situated approximately half way
between the two. Today it
lies just off the A303 and is a convenient place for holiday makers to
break their journey from London to Cornwall. "Wincanton Country Market is held in the light and airy surroundings of the Balsam Centre Healthy Living Centre. There is easy pedestrian and disabled access from the High Street (through the arch next to the Wincanton Cobbler), and the Memorial Hall car parks where there is plenty of convenient parking." It
is open from 8.30 am to 11.30 am every Friday except Good Friday (when
it is held on Maundy Thursday) and the 2 Fridays after Christmas.
